Dr. Young graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1986. He continued his education in specialty programs including a one year General Practice residency and two years of Advanced Prosthodontic training at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital, followed by one year of Maxillofacial Prosthodontic training at Eye & Ear Hospital. Upon graduating in 1990, Dr. Young opened his practice in Natrona Heights at its current location.
In 1990, Dr. Young began teaching at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in the departments of his specialty: fixed, removable and complete dentures. He currently is the Pre-Clinical Director of Fixed Prosthodontics.
Dr. Young is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Young was born and raised in Springdale, PA, and resides in Hampton Township. His wife, Dr. Christine Rylands-Young, passed away in 2000. Outside of the office, Dr. Young enjoys golfing, playing racquetball and spending time with his five children. Dr. Young has been voted one of the top dentists in Pittsburgh and one of America’s best dentists.
